High Dale Park Barn nestles in a small, peaceful valley, down a quiet lane within Grizedale Forest Park - Lakeland's largest forest area. Woodland walks amongst the famous forest sculptures are literally seconds away.
In our valley we see deer, badgers, buzzards, herons and many rare species of birds.

The Upper Level of the Barn


    The three bedrooms sleep six: one with double bed,one with full-sized bunks and one twin bedded room.
             


The bathroom has bath, shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and fan heater 
    
The Upper Level Lounge (at Christmas time here) has a cosy woodburner in a large Lakeland stone fireplace.
   In the lounge there is satellite TV and DVD player and the outlook is a beautiful southerly view down the valley.
                     
 Winter in Dale Park 1995/6 - with 3 feet of snow on the ground!


          The very large kitchen includes a big table and eight chairs, cooker with ceremic hob, dishwasher,
washing machine, tumble drier, separate fridge and freezer, microwave and payphone. 
          
The Lower Level Studio Apartment
                        
sleeps 2-3 and has a comfortable 4ft. 6ins.sofa-bed, 2ft.6in. chair-bed and satellite TV.
The fully fitted kitchen area provides full size cooker, microwave, washer/drier and fridge.
The shower room has a shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and fan heater.
There is a payphone in the hall and we have wireless internet for a small charge.
 
The famous Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway - just 6 miles from High Dale Park



    At High Dale Park Barn, there is ample off-the-road parking for up to six cars. The Upper Level Lounge opens     out on to a large, south-facing patio with picnic tables and a beautiful view across the meadows and woodland.
    The Lower Level also has a south-facing patio.
    
    In colder weather, central heating is provided by storage heaters - cost included in the booking charge.
    All bed linen and kitchen towels are included at no extra charge, but please remember to bring bath towels
    and hand towels, as they are not provided.
    Cot(s) and high chair are available at no extra charge, as is the lock-up cycle storage.
    Electricity is by £1.00 coin meter.
    (Please remember to bring some £1 coins with you).
    Access to the Barn is available anytime after 4pm on the day of your arrival. Departures - 10am.
  
  Pets are accepted in the Upper Level of the Barn only (not in the Lower Level).   
£20.00 per week per dog (by arrangement only).
